Harlowe isn’t just a support Vault Hunter in Borderlands 4. In fact, she has multiple builds that can easily one-shot bosses, like her CHROMA Accelerator build and her Flux Generator build. However, Harlowe’s blue skill tree, Zero-Point, also deserves some love. While Harlowe’s Zero-Point build isn’t as strong as her other builds, it’s by far her most reliable when it comes to mobbing and ad-clearing, ensuring that Harlowe is always coming out on top when it comes to enemies that aren’t bosses. Below, we’ve outlined everything that makes the best Harlowe Zero-Point build in Borderlands 4, right here!
This build does not use the Penetrator Augment Crit Hit Throwing Knife.

The Zero-Point Harlowe build is designed around mobbing, meaning players are going to have better survivability and kill time against squishy normal enemies than they would against bosses. Harlowe’s Zero-Point action skill doesn’t do much against bosses, but the gameplay loop here is simple. Players want to pop their Action Skill for the buffs and use Cryo Damage to ensure high damage and maximum ad-clear.
Best Weapons and Gear for Zero-Point Harlowe in Borderlands 4
For this build, Radiation and Cryo weapons are a must. For that reason, we decided to use the Plasma Coil, as it’s an SMG that fires Radiation bullets, and it has an incredibly fast Fire Rate and reload speed. This weapon can be farmed from the Timekeeper in Upper Dominion. For Cryo, we went with Aegon’s Dream, farmed from Horace in Horace’s Oversight, Hungering Plain, the Fadefields. This is because Aegon’s Dream is a great Assault Rifle that fires Incendiary and Cryo bullets.
Arguably, the most important weapon is the Heavy Weapon Ordnance, as this deals the most damage, and paired with Harlowe’s skills and Shield, provides constant ammo regeneration. We selected the Rocket Socket Heavy Weapon Ordnance, as it fires double rockets and can roll with Cryo, but Jelly is also great, as it is a grenade that can roll with Radiation. While Rocket Socket is random, Jelly can be obtained from Splashzone in the Riptide Grotto, Coastal Bonescape of the Fadefields.
The Super Soldier Shield, farmed from Vile Lictor in the Umbral Foundry, Windspear, Terminus Range, was also really useful in making this build pop. Not only will the Super Shield fill Energy Shields with Overshield, which aids in Harlowe’s skills, gaining more passive buffs, but when the Shield is full, Harlowe will have an increase to Fire Rate, Movement Speed, and passively regen 1 Ammo per second, even for Ordnance.
We also decided to take the Skeptic Class Mod, farmed from Callis the Ripper Queen at Moon-Called Throne, Fallen Crown in Carcadia Burn. This is great for a few reasons. Firstly, Harlowe can use her Action Skill to slam enemies to repeatedly fire Radiation Darts and Cryo Darts that hone in on enemies, and shooting enemies who are impacted with a Status Effect restores Action Skill Cooldown. Skeptic also provides free skills without unlocking them in their required branch, which is essential for the Stun Lock passive in the bottom left blue tree, as this allows Harlowe to Critically Hit enemies to put them into Stasis, and that’s without investing the 11 points needed to reach this skill. The Shiny War Paint Repkit from the Meathead Riders at the Old Scrape Ripper Drill Site, Cuspid Climb, Terminus Range, also provides an increase to Fire Rate and Movement Speed to keep Harlowe moving. Lastly, there is the Enhancement, which really doesn’t matter, so pick one that you like that pairs by increasing damage to your chosen weapon type.

Specializations are available after the campaign, and they are earned in the exact same way as XP is earned, but there’s no level cap. The best Specializations for this build will require a hefty investment, but start with 20 points in Brute, as Riddle You This is great for passive +50% to Gun Damage simply by shooting. Next, invest 10 points into Sharpshooter and Runner so you can put 20 points into Daredevil, as I Am A Gun and A Honed Mind both help increase the damage provided from Action Skills. The final perk is your preference, but we like Bullet Train, so we can get +15% Gun Damage while walking, and hipfire while sprinting.
